Placemats for Meals on Wheels

I made these two placemats yesterday from pieces that I had from old projects. I used Snoopy Christmas fabric that I got in a bag of scraps from my sister-in-law. I thought it added a bit of fun! I really enjoyed working on them because I actually finished them in one day! So many projects take so long to do. Just the other day, my husband commented that my hexagon quilt project was more than one year in, and it didn't look like I was anywhere near finished. He's right - but I have to defend myself. I really only add a couple of hexagons while watching a TV show after dinner. But I'm happy to have finished these two placemats in time for our meeting on Wednesday and to know they will go to making someone's Christmas a little brighter.

We have collected 30 placemats so far, but we need 70 more to make sure each Christmas meal recipient gets one.

And remember, there are prizes to be won and you will get a raffle ticket for each placemat you bring in. The draw will be at the November meeting - the last chance to bring them in!
