Sew and Share at the October Meeting

This was a short, but very sweet Sew and Share!

Helen shared not just one, but five amazing quilts that she made for the outreach program:

Catherine shared a baby quilt that she made for her friend's daughter's baby girl. This quilt is "Spinning Wheel," from Lucy-Anne's "charm school" class:

Thanks for a fantastic Yorkshire Rose Quilt Show!

We are pleased to say that the Yorkshire Rose Quilt Show was a great success!
This fantastic weekend event had record attendance and was enjoyed by all who participated - whether visitor, vendor or volunteer.

People had a lot of good things to say about the Quilt Show. They were welcomed by the friendly front-desk volunteers, they appreciated the pin-cushion give-away, they enjoyed the yummy treats at the tea room, they liked the special draws, they had fun shopping in the members' boutique, and, of course, they loved looking at the wide variety of beautiful and interesting quilts.

The winners of the Special Draws were:
  • Steff Rose – ELNA Sewing machine
  • Karen Lask - Fall Frolic Quilt
  • Ann Morgan - Holiday Cards Quilt

This year's Quilt Show had something for everyone and that is due to the wonderful volunteers on the Quilt Show committee, the members who volunteered for the day, and the members who contributed their beautiful work for the community to see. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Quilt Show to share our passion for quilting.
